Marguerite Howze

Marguerite Jane Howze, 75, went home to be with her Savior Thursday, October 11, 2007. She was born January 20th 1932 in NYC to Marguerite and Thomas Lander. She grew up in New Canaan, CT. and graduated as a registered nurse from Norwalk Hospital School of Nursing along with her twin sister, Judith. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. She accepted Christ as a teenager and lived her life serving her Lord. Along with her parents, her sister Judith Lander and son, Jonathan Daniel Howze, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jesse Howze; a son, David of the home, four daughters, Mary Fouts and husband Mark of Farmington Hills, MI.; Elizabeth Van Horn and husband Jeff of Conover, Rebecca Denton and husband Tim of Hickory and Lydia Shook and husband Bud of Hudson; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Howze of Conover; a brother, Donald Lander of Osterskar, Sweden and wife Tika; and thirteen grandchildren, Rachel, Jessica, Melody, Hannah, Jonathan, Bradley, Sarah, Abbey, William, Jacob, Alex, Aaron and Savannah. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, October 13th, 2007 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Startown. Burial will follow in Startown-Jenkins Cemetery.
