Marian Yoder

Marian Marie Yoder 85 of Hickory died Friday, August 3rd, 2018 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born June 3rd, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Dorse Holmes Hollar and Mary Marie Bowman Hollar. She always put others first. She loved working outside in her yard and around her pool. She retired as a registered nurse at Frye Regional Medical Center after serving 38 years.

Four sons, Floyd L. Yoder, Jr. and wife Sharon of Hickory, Michael A. Yoder and wife Dana of Taylorsville, Barry O. Yoder and wife Tina of Hickory and Keith E. Yoder and wife Jo Ann of Horse Shoe, NC; a brother, Paul Hollar and wife Bonnie of Lenoir; a sister-in-law, Geral Hollar of Claremont; eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren survive her.

In addition to her husband, Floyd L. Yoder, Sr., two brothers, Richard Hollar and Jack Hollar preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 12:00 pm Wednesday, August 8th, 2018 at Woodlawn Baptist Church in Conover with the Rev. Dr. Ed Yount officiating. Burial will follow immediately at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends and family from 11:00am-12:00pm Wednesday August 8, 2018 at Woodlawn Baptist Church.
