Mark Hoyle "Sunny" Abernethy 52 of Maiden passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at his residence. Born February 9th, 1969 he was the son of Jimmie Dean Abernethy and Cathy Diane Murphy. He enjoyed fishing and shooting pool and truly enjoyed being with his friends.
His partner for several years, Lynn Baxter, two nieces, Samantha Lee and Patty Smith, both of Lincolnton and a great nephew, Thomas Smith of Lincolnton survive him.
A Celebration of Sunny's life will be 1:00 pm Saturday March 6, 2021 at his residence.
