Eva was a loving and devoted daughter, mother, and grandmother. She treasured her many friends, neighbors, and coworkers over the years. She was always hospitable and generously offered a helping hand and care to her family and friends in time of need. She loved growing flowers, decorating her home, and had a keen eye for fashion. In addition to raising her children, she worked outside the home in various office capacities, retiring from the Hamblen Co. Trustee office as Deputy Trustee in 2000. She met others with genuine kindness and a contagious smile until her final days. Eva was a member of First Baptist Church of Morristown, and she was previously a member of Bethel Baptist Church for many years.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Angela Fisher Hamilton and Dr. David Hamilton of Hickory; sister Beulah Sue Pratt (Darrell) of Tellico Village, TN; grandchildren Jesse Mark Sorrell of Chapel Hill, NC; Nolan Douglas Sorrell (Jenna) of Salt Lake City, Utah; Elyse Hamilton Childres (Henry) of Charlotte, NC; and Christina Hamilton Kendall (Erik) and great- grandchildren, Elle and William Kendall of Belmont, NC, as well as several nieces and nephews. She also leaves her loving “other daughter”, Terri Klein, of Knoxville, TN and special friend, William Griffis of Newton, NC.
