Mary Lou Gilmore, 79 of 8th Ave. SW, Hickory died, Monday, November 8, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born, March 28, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Gilbert L. Brown & Agnes Marie Linn Brown. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 50 years and was active in declaring her faith to others right up until her death. While she will be missed by all those who loved her, we look forward to the day when she will be resurrected on a paradise earth, with perfect health. (Rev. 21:3,4) A son, Todd Gilmore & wife Jan of Hickory; two sisters, Rose Davis & husband Walt of Golden, Missouri, June Lohr & husband Bob of Vero Beach, Florida; a brother, Lewis Brown & wife Doris of Meadville, Pennsylvania; a grand-son, Patrick Gilmore & wife Jennifer of Greensboro a great grand-daughter, Emery Gilmore and numerous nieces & nephews survive her. In addition to her husband of 39 years, Donald R. Gilmore; two sisters, Marge & Lucille; a brother, Ray Brown and a grand-daughter, Pamela Ashley Gilmore preceded her in death. A Memorial Service will be 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hickory on Sweetwater Road. Joda Anderson & Christopher Reis will officiate.
