Mary Goodson

Mary Lucille Goodson 93 of Iron Station died Sunday, June 9, 2019 at her residence. Born Friday, December 25th, 1925 she was the daughter of the late Charlie David Brown and Sylvania Clark Brown. She was a devoted loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her joy was to cook and take care of her family.
Her husband Sidney Goodson of the home ; three daughters, Rosa "Tiny" Smith and husband Sam of Iron Station, Joyce Waters and husband Steve of Vale, NC and Roxanna Cox and husband Melvin of Calllahan, FL; four sons, Bobby Bryant and wife Debbie of Lincolnton, Steve Bryant and wife Shirley of Lincolnton, William Bryant of Lincolnton and Perry Bryant of Lincolnton; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren survive her.
Two daughters, Dolly Keever and Pansy Yount and a son, Dean Shuford; two sisters and six brothers preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 4:00 pm Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Walt Griggs and Pastor Bob Alexander officiating. Burial will follow at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery in Lincolnton.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm-4:00 pm Tuesday, June 11th, 2019 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
