Mary Lail

Mary Isenhour Lail, 80, of Conover, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born September 28th, 1941 she was the daughter of Benjamin Harrison Isenhour and Fannie Lucille Isenhour. She worked for over 22 years with Catawba County School system in the lunch rooms and also with bus routes. She was a member of Tri City Baptist Church and the Ruby's Sunday School Class that lived up to it's name by treating her like a jewel.

Two daughters, Evie Rector and husband Rick of Hickory and Loretta Buchanan of Hickory; a brother, Fred Allen Isenhour and wife Luz of Pensacola, FL; a sister, Ellen Ruth Crooks of Hickory; five grandchildren, W.J. Rector, Jenna Reed, Ashley Lail, Jeffery Buchanan and Greg Rhodes; seven great grandchildren, Tavarrius Lail, Delmar White, Faith Buchanan, Grace Huffman, Caroline Reed, Wyatt Rector and Waylon Rector survive her.

In addition to her husband of 44 years, Jimmy Lester Lail; a daughter, Laura Lorraine Corrado preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 2:00 pm Monday at the chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Hampton Drum officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1-1:45 pm at the funeral home prior to the service.
