Mary Ann Oliver, 81 of Hickory died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton. Born April 20, 1931 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Earl William Frye and Montez Parker. Mary was a member of Hickory First Assembly of God and was an active intercessor. She owned and operated Anngel Rolls Bakery. Two sons, Robert Henry Reed Jr. of Poquoson, VA and Kyle Frye Reed of Morganton, NC; a sister, Gail Hunsucker of Conover; a brother, Ted Frye and wife Donna of Hickory; daughter in law, Deborah Reed of Hickory; two grand-children, Brett and Jessica; and nieces and nephews, Mandy Finger, Melissa Hayes, Allen Hunsucker, Claire Frye, Jake Frye, Kelli Helton, Mike Frye and Bobbi Brown survive her. In addition to her husband of 18 years, William Melvin Oliver; a son, Dana Brett Reed; a brother, Hugh Bronson ?Sonny? preceded her in death. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at Hickory First Assembly of God. Pastor Mark Dolphens and Rev. Jerry Willis will officiate. Pallbearers include; Larry Minton, Jerry Gilbert, Tony Keller, Jake Frye, Jerry Mullins and Michael Matangelo. Burial will in Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m., one hour prior at the church. In lieu of flowers, Memorial may be made to Hickory First Assembly of God 1301 12th St. Drive NW, Hickory, NC 28601.
