Mary Jo Owensby 86 of Hickory died Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Carolina Caring in Newton. Born November 12th, 1935 she was the daughter of the late John Henry Frisbee and Pearl Frisbee. She loved gardening and camping. She worked in the textile and furniture industries most of her life.
A daughter-in-law, Cindy Owensby of Newton; a sister, Hazel Davis of Marion, NC and numerous nieces survive her.
A son, Michael Owensby, a granddaughter, Kristin Owensby and numerous brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be 2:00 pm Monday December 6, 2021 at Mountain Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Barry Keys officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
