Mary Strickland

Mary Helen Strickland Born January 27, 1953 was called home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Calvin and Geneva Johnson.
She attended Central and New-Conover High School and was a past member of Liberty Hill Missionary's Baptist Church. Mary lived a happy life doing the things she loved. She enjoyed singing, dancing, and loved doing flower gardens. She thought she was a professional gardener. She was a confessed Christian and she loved praising the Lord.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Strickland and leaves to cherish her memories, a son Horatio Johnson and wife Donna of Hickory, NC. Three sisters Kathleen Johnson, Jean Grier and husband Claude, and Brenda Powell and Husband Jerry of Conover, NC. Four brothers Henry Johnson and Wife Zula of Newton, NC, Mack Johnson of Conover, NC, Milton Johnson and wife Janice, Terry Johnson and wife Linda of Hickory, NC. and many Nieces, nephews, and friends.
