Maxine (Mackie) Lowman

June 1, 1944 — September 2, 2022

Maxine "Mackie" Elizabeth Lowman, 78, of Hickory passed peacefully Friday, September 2, 2022. Born June 1st, 1944, she was the daughter of the late James Harding Lowman and Mary Elizabeth Lowman.

She was a fan of racing, The Cowboys, and The Yankees. Mackie loved her family and enjoyed cooking and entertaining.

She is survived by her son Chip Russo and wife Donna of Baton, NC, her daughter Angie Barrier and husband Jeff of Morganton, her daughter Tammy Antoniou and wife Tracey of West End, NC, her sister Joette Ford of Cherryville, her sister Debra Nantz of Cullowhee, her brother Richard Lowman and wife Kathy of Rutherford College, her grandchildren Chuck, Jimmy, Ashley, Marc, Leah, and Katy, eleven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Mary Lowman, one brother Mark Lowman, one sister Charlene Franklin, brother-in-law Derry Franklin, and brother-in-law Randy Ford.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 3:00 PM in Jenkins Funeral Home's Celebration Center.
