Melissa Ann Hoyle, 48, of Lincolnton passed away Friday, June 24, 2022 at Carolina Caring. Born January 12th, 1974, in Beaufort, South Carolina at the Naval Hospital, she was the daughter of Michael Hoyle and Linda Longoria.
She cared for people and was a caregiver. She was an artist who loved working with her hands. She forged her own path in the world. She didn't take direction from anyone.
She is survived by her three sons Donald E. McCormick III (Mandy Waynick), Ivan J. McCormick (McQuay Rogers), and Krystofer M. McCormick all of Lincolnton, her grandson Jesse Nolan McCormick, her ex-husband Donald E. McCormick, Jr., her mother Linda Longoria and her stepfather Christopher W. Longoria of Lincolnton, her father Michael D. Hoyle (Joyce Hoyle) of Wisconsin, her ten siblings, numerous aunts and uncles, and a host of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents GnySgt Earnest H. Briggs and Eleanora M. Baker Briggs of Lincolnton, Lillian Hoyle and Charles Robert Hoyle of Texas.
A memorial service will be held 5:30 PM Tuesday, June 28th, 2022 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 105 Old Tram Rd, Lincolnton, NC 28092.
Jenkins Funeral Home will not be involved in the service at the church.
