Melvin Connor Jr, 62, of Hickory passed away Monday, August 7th, 2023 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born, November 5th, 1960 he was the son of the late Melvin Connor Sr. and Mildred Connor.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Connor of the home; a daughter, Marquisya Williams Sudderth, of Hickory; two sons, Martell Connor (Shandra) of Hickory and Bran-Lun Connor of Hickory; four grandchildren, Makaden, Makenzie, Marquavous, Melee; siblings, Miles Connor of Hickory, Jimmy Propst of Highpoint, Tammy Connor Williams of Greensboro, Debra Connor Whitsett of Greensboro, and Tommie Rhinhardt of Hickory and a host of many other siblings, family members, and special nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 11AM-12PM, Saturday August 12, 2023 at Morning Star First Baptist Church located at 126 4th Ave SW, Hickory, NC 28602.
The funeral will be at 12PM at Morning Star First Baptist Church with David Roberts officiating the service. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery located at 315 14th Ave Dr SW, Hickory, NC 28602.
