Michael Bauguess

Michael Gene Bauguess 56, of New Bern, NC passed away unexpectedly Sunday August 19, 2018 at Carolina East Medical Center in New Bern, NC. Mr. Bauguess was born in Newton, NC to the late Donald Gene Bauguess and the late Barbara Jean Schronce.
Michael loved to cook and was a chef in various places during his career. He spent his college years at ECU where he was in a fraternity of brothers and close friends.
Survivors include siblings: Todd Bauguess and wife Tina of Icard, NC, Angela Willis of Hickory, NC, Tanya Hefner of Hudson, NC. He also had a best friend and adoptive brother Eddie Newman of Hickory, NC.
He had 9 nieces and nephews whom he adored: Mallory Bauguess of Hickory, NC, Christopher Rudisill and his wife Lenona of Vale, NC, , Tiffany Rudisill and her fiancé Tyler of Hickory, NC, Brandy Hefner of Mebane, NC, Mikaela Bauguess of Granite Falls, NC, Brianna Hefner of Hudson, NC, Mianna Bauguess if Charlotte, NC, Trinity Barbara Faith Hefner of Hudson, NC and Jacob Hefner of Hudson, NC.
Michael loved traveling and the beach and NYC. He loved to volunteer for the Morehead City GOP and to chat politics a lot. They will miss him greatly!
A celebration of life will be planned at a later date.
