Michael Belton

Michael David Belton, 64 of Claremont died Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born June 1st, 1951 he was the son of James Belton and Gladdy Belton. His wife of 21 years, Lori Belton of the home; a daughter, Chelsea Belton of Hickory; eight brothers, Dean Belton of Hickory, Hurley Belton of Catawba, Richard Belton of Morganton, Johnny Belton of Lenoir, Robert Belton Connelly Springs, Harry Belton of Morganton, Raymond Belton of Catawba and Mark Belton of Catawba; a sister, Arlene Webb of Hickory; numerous nieces and nephews survive him. A brother, Don Belton and two sisters, Barbara Whisnant and Carolyn Sturgill preceded him in death. A Celebration of Life Service will be 4:00 pm Monday, January 4th, 2016 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lonney Ramsey. The family will receive friends from 3-4:00 pm Monday, January 4th, 2016 at the funeral home.
