Miriam Hardy

Miriam Irene Hardy 94 of Hickory died Sunday, October 15th, 2017 at her residence. Born March 24th, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Irvin Russel Ottinger and  Katherine Benning Ottinger.   Three sons, Joseph Gordon Stewart, Jr, and wife Virginia of Pinellas Park, FL and Galen Russel Stewart and wife Mary (MIckey) of Clearwater, FL,  Step-son David J. Hardy Jr. of Bradenburg, KY; a daughter-in-law, Cathy Stewart of the home; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Kona survive her. Her two husbands, Joseph Gordon Stewart, Sr. and David J. Hardy, Sr.; four sisters, two brothers, a son, Kenneth Stewart Sr. and Kenneth Stewart Jr. preceded her in death. The celebration of Miriam's life will be Monday October 23 at 6:00 pm at Old St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Rev. Robert Sain officiating.
