Nala Vega-Johnson
December 31, 1969 — October 15, 2023
Nala Zyanya Vega-Johnson, seven months old, of Newton, our warrior, fought her last battle on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Levine Children's Hospital. Born Monday, March 13th, 2023 she was the daughter of Marissa Vega-Freeman.
She leaves behind her mother, Marissa Vega-Freeman; her devoted big brother, Kavari; her amazing big sister, Nayeli; five half-brothers, and she was loved by many family, friends and her dedicated team at Catawba Valley Medical Center.
The funeral will be 4:00 P.M. Friday, October 20, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 in the Celebration Center, and burial will follow in the Garden of Angels in Jenkins Cemetery.
