Nettie Sue Smith, 79, of Hickory died Monday, July 31, 2023 at Catawba Valley Assisted Living. Born July 16th, 1944 she was the daughter of George and Pauline Smith.
Her daughter, Lucinda Robinson (Albert); two sons, Luther Bentley and Jeffrey Bentley; two sisters, Nancy Hefner and Pat Spencer; four brothers, Randy Smith (Judy), Connelly Smith (Dina), Steve Smith (Jeannie) and Jim Smith (Jo); two grandchildren, Richard Robinson (Sharon), Heather Buff (Dustin) and seven great-grandchildren, Zachary, Makayla, Bryson, Laura, Karleigh, Kamden and Brooke survive her.
In addition to her parents, two sons, Richard Bentley and Mark Bentley, her sister, Sylvia Jones and her sister-in-law, Judy Smith preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home. There will be a graveside service and burial at Calvary Memorial Gardens at 12:00 P.M. Thursday, August 3, 2023 with Pastor Paul Grindstaff officiating.
