Neva Joyce Poovey, 62, of Newton died Saturday, November 10th, 2018 at her home. Born March 12th, 1956 she was the daughter of the late Irdell Willis and Neva (Jenoice) Buff Willis.
In addition to her husband of 32 years Michael Poovey, two daughters Tracy Childress and husband Sandy of Lawndale, Candy Hamilton of Hickory; step son Steven Poovey and wife Stacy of Hickory; a sister Sandy Willis of Lawndale; a brother Michael Willis of Conover; five grandchildren Amy Bryant, Steven Poovey, Kayla Childress, Justin Childress, Jake Hamilton and one great grandchild Kensley Houser survive her.
The funeral will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 14th, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Crockett Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 at Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
