Nhia Chou Vang, 68 of Hickory died Friday, February 21, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice in Newton.
Born July 15, 1945 in Laos, he was the son of Chia Kao Vang and Lee Lee.
In addition to his wife, Sue Moua of the home; 11 daughters; five sons; and two sisters survive him.
The Hmong funeral will begin 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and resume 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014; 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 9,2014 and 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel & Pavilion in Newton.
Burial will follow Monday, March 10, 2014 at Southside Cemetery in Newton.
