Nina Fulbright

Nina Lorene Mitchem Fulbright, 90 of Sigman Street, Hickory died Wednesday, January 19, 2011. Born April 5, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Kirby Brown Mitchem & Vassie Jane Lowman Mitchem. She was born on Easter Monday and her last birthday was on Easter Monday. Two daughters, Mary Jane Mitchem Shook of Hickory & Margaret Fulbright Propst and husband Kenneth of Hickory; a son, Dennis Joseph Fulbright and wife Patricia of Hickory; two sisters, LaRue Harrison and husband Jack of Newton & Betty Jo Weaver and husband Ray of Newton; Eight grand-children, Elaine Propst, William & wife Kelly Propst, Clay Propst, Dena Propst Townsend, Timothy Richard, Theresa Richards, Tanya Shook and Melissa Fulbright; Eight great grand-children, Caitlan & Matthew Townsend, Jordan, Riley & Gaige Propst, Sara R. Issacs, Jennifer Davis & Carrie Richards; three great, great grand-children, Barrett Davis, Eden Richards & Peyton Issacs; and caregiver; Kelly Hill and her children, Madison & Gracie survive her. Two daughters, an infant and Barbara Ann Richard; a son, J.D. Fulbright; two brothers, James Mitchem & Robert Mitchem and a sister, Georgie Fulbright preceded her in death. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday January 22, 2011 at Sardis Lutheran Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Anna Merritt will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:45 at the church. Pallbearers serving are William Propst, Clay Propst, Matthew Townsend, Donald Fulbright, Wesley Weaver & Rick Johnson.
