Pamela Matthews

Pamela (Gail) Matthews 68 of Newton passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 at Carolina Caring in Newton. Born, February 25th, 1953 she was the daughter of Garland Eddie and Francis Cook Crafton. Gail was a loving mother and wife who loved her garden and watching her son play music.
Her husband of 50 years David N. Matthews of the home, a son Cameron Matthews and wife Charity of Conover; sisters Patricia Harris and husband Bill of Newton, Doris (Dottie) McCaslin of Maiden; sister in law Freida Matthews of Conover; grandchildren Luke Buckner and wife Jessica of Morganton, Aaron Buckner of Hudson; a great granddaughter Brooklynn Townsend; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins survive her.
In addition to her parents; a brother in law Stephen Matthews; her father in law Verlie Matthews; her mother in law Juanita (Kat) Matthews preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be 11:00 am Thursday, March 25th, 2021 at Catawba Memorial Park with Pastor Phil Goins officiating.
