Patricia "Pat" Viles

Patricia "Pat" Wreyford Viles, 85, of Newton died Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Carolina Caring Hospice in Newton, NC. Born October 17, 1938, in Fordyce, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Burlon O’Dell Wreyford and Bernice Sybil Longmire.
She was an active member of the Hickory Museum of Art. She was also an artist who loved to travel and more recently, a published author. She crocheted hundreds of scarves for the Women's and Children's Center and had a love for all animals.
Her son Eric Viles, daughter Janelle Viles Bolick and husband Paul Michael Bolick; three grandchildren, Daniel Lee Bolick, Maranda Jean Bolick, and Erika Thomas. Two sisters, Martha Mobley, Connie (Constance) Cheek; a brother and sister-in-law, Sam and Naomi Viles; as well as many nieces and a nephew survive her.
Memorials may be made to Carolina Caring 3975 Robinson Rd Newton, NC 28658
