Patrick Canterbury

Patrick Canterbury, 59, of Hickory passed away Saturday, October 14th, 2023 in his home. Born August 17th, 1964 he was the son of the late Emil Canterbury and Phyllis Canterbury. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio and raised in Logan, West Virginia. He graduated from Logan High School and later worked as a coal miner before moving to North Carolina to pursue a career in management. Most recently he worked in the prison system as a corrections officer. He was a devoted husband, father, and Pawpaw that will truly be missed by his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline "Jackie" Canterbury of Hickory; two sons, Blake Canterbury (Kelly) of Hickory, and Jordan Canterbury of Hickory; a brother, Mark Canterbury (Dawn) of Logan, West Virginia; and two grandchildren, Eleanor Canterbury and James Canterbury.

In addition to his parents, Emil Canterbury and Phyllis Canterbury, he is preceded in death by siblings, Michael Canterbury, Chris Canterbury, and Sherry Canterbury Curry.

The family will have a visitation from 3-5PM, Thursday, October 19th, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center.
