Paula Davis

Paula Denean Wilson Davis, 42 of JB Road, Claremont died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at N.C. Baptist Hospital. Born August 18, 1969 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Lee Wilson and Mae Evelyn Farley Wilson of Claremont. Paula was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church where she was a choir member & church treasurer. She was also a summer camp director and worked with the church pre-school. She worked at R-TAX Express as an accountant. She was one of the most loving, giving, strongest and toughest persons one has ever seen. She was a real fighter. In addition to her husband, Robert William Davis Sr., of the home; a daughter, Alysia Wilson and boyfriend, Brandon Norris of Claremont; a son, Robert Davis Jr. of Claremont; two step-sons, Marcus Kennedy and Brian Kennedy both of Conover; a sister, Brenda Wilson Robinson of Conover; two brothers, Timothy Farley and wife Rose of Lincolnton and Charles Edward Farley of Claremont; one special aunt, Mildred Lyerly of Claremont; special cousin, Annette Lyerly; seven step grand-children; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and family friends; and her special dog, Morris survive her. The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Catawba. Pastor Donald Gray will officiate. Burial will follow at Smyrna Cemetery on Hudson Chapel Road. The family will receive friends 1-3:00 p.m., prior to the service at the church. At other times the family will be at the residence of Brenda Robinson 3102 Teakwood Pl. Conover, NC.
