Pavel Kogan

Pavel Paul Kogan 63 of Granite Falls died Monday, September 25th, 2017 at Carolina Rehab Center of Burke. Born November 18th, 1953 he was the son of the late Efim Kogan and  Bronislava Zinger. Pavel is from the city of Kharkov, Ukraine. He holds two masters degrees, Russian Literature and Language and the other degree is in Law. After coming to America, he turned his hobby of hairstyling into a career. He opened The Black Tie Hair Salon and Gift Shop in Syracuse, NY.   His wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Kogan of the home; a daughter, Marina Favreau of Hickory and a son, Constantine Kogan and wife, Nicole of Hickory; a sister, Rita Chichelnitsckya of Ukraine; five grandchildren, Austin, Isabella, Nicolaus, Nathanael and Chloee and a nephew, Ilya Chichelnitsckya survive him. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be 6:00 PM Thursday September 28, 2017 at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
