Pearl Higgins

Pearl Virginia Higgins, 83 of Newton died Thursday, June 19th, 2014 at her residence. Born August 18th, 1930 she was the daughter of the late John Smith and Grace Smith. Three sons, Jerry Lee Smith of Lincolnton, Danny Ray Higgins of Hickory and Terry Allen Higgins of Newton; two daughters, Joyce Ann Demaria and Martha Smith survive her. The funeral will be 2:00 pm June 23rd, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dan Spears, The Rev. Dr. Stephen R. Disher and Rev. John Bigelow officiating. Burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm, Monday, June 23rd, 2014 at the funeral home.
