Peggy Sue Sigmon Brown, 73 of Indian Trails, formerly of Conover, died Friday March 31, 2006 at Harris Hospice Unit of Presbyterian Hospital, in Charlotte. Born November 6, 1932 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late I. Glenn Sigmon and Mary Beatrice Sherrill Sigmon. She was a retired office manager for Pendleton G. Waldron, DDS in Newton. She was a graduate of Clevenger Business College, a lifelong member of Concordia Lutheran Church, where she was a sunday school teacher, and a Dorcas Society member. Mrs. Brown was also a former Girl Scout leader . She is survived by two daughters, Karen Brown Mosteller of Marietta, GA, and Kimberly Brown Talbert of Hartsville, SC; two sons, Kenneth W. Brown, of Conover, and Kyle G. Brown of Indian Trails; four sisters, Shirley Lessnau of Tucson, AZ, Mary Glen Shepherd of Apopka, FL, Phyllis Sigmon Lail of Claremont and Brenda Fulcher of Hickory; a brother, Bob L. Sigmon of Richmond, VA, and five grandchildren, Amber Elizabeth Brown, Derek Adam Brown, Zachary Edward Talbert, Madison Sigmon Mosteller and Kylie Gray Talbert. In addition to her parents, her husband, Floyd K. Brown, Jr, a son, Brian Keith Brown and sister, Nancy Sigmon Haivala, precedes her in death. The funeral will be at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 2, 2006 in the chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home. The Rev. Donald Oldenburg will officiate. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home prior to the service. Talbert, Derek Brown, Zachary Talbert, Lawrence C. Hendricks and Clayton P. Hendricks.
