Peggy Dewhurst

Peggy Louise Dewhurst 86 of Claremont died Wednesday, March 8th, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born February 11th, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Israel Galyon and Myrtle  Webb Galyon. She was a member of St Paul's Reformed Church in Newton and a member of the Sweet Adelines from 1974-2002. She volunteered at Catawba Valley Medical Center from 2002-2005.  Two sons, Michael Dwight Morris of Louisville, KY and Joel Brian Morris of Charlotte; a daughter, Pamela Louise Generous of Conover; a sister, Sue Saunders of Bradenton, FL; a grandson, Jason Carter of AR; a granddaughter, Mary Anne Carter of Conover; a step grandson, David Generous, a step great grandson, Angel Ramirez and a step granddaughter, Laura Generous survive her. The funeral will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 11th, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Stephen R. Disher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Memorial Park.
