Peggy Travis

Peggy Ray Travis, 85, of Hickory went home to be with her Lord and Savior peacefully holding her babies on Sunday, April 30, 2023 at College Pines. Born July 7th, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Eulene Eugene Travis and Darcus Beulah Benson Travis.

She is survived by her brother, Tony Travis, three nieces whom she cared for, Nellie Houston, Bobbie Reep and Tamara Fox and husband Maurice Fox. She had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by a loving sister and caregiver, Bobby and Ruby Eller, Ruth Cloninger, Kathleen Bolick, Olen Travis, Joby McRary and Mildred Travis.

The funeral will be 4:00 P.M. Friday, May 12, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Will Jenkins and honorary pastor Warren Marcum officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hickory.
