Phillip Lee Harwood, 39, of Conover died Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. He was born August 23rd, 1980 in Torrance, California.
Phillip was an excellent automotive painter and body technician. He loved cars, women, and beer. He also loved hiking, fishing, woodworking, and art.
He was the son of Randall Harwood and wife Alice Harwood. His mother Robin Sue Valentine and husband George Curran.
He is survived by two sons, Joshua and Alex Harwood, and a daughter, Chloe Harwood; paternal grandparents, Donna and Phillip Hazelton.
Phillip is also survived by his two brothers Scott Barr and wife Crystal of Lenior, Christian of Conover; three sisters, Regina Acevedo of New York, Megan Starnes of Hickory, and Mandy Starnes of Hickory; seven nieces, Keegan and Oaklynn Beam of Hickory, Rachael and Cynthia of Lenoir, Lucy and Emily Barr of California, and Anabel and Kayla of California; two nephews, Orion Olah of California, and Daryl of New York; along with numerous uncles and cousins.
He is proceeded in death by his maternal grandparents, Pat and John Curtis.
The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm on Sunday February 16th, 2020 at Christ Alive Church in Newton. Pastor Mark Ivey will be officiating. The funeral will follow at 2:30 pm.
Jenkins Funeral Home staff is not involved in the memorial service at the church.
