Phillip Pope

Phillip Clyde Pope 68 of Taylorsville died Thursday, November 4, 2021 at his home. Born, June 8th, 1953 he was the son of the late Mary Joe McClure Pope.

His wife of 20 years Marquita Harrison Pope of the home, two daughters Tamara Pope of Conover, Ashley Pope (Justice) of Hickory; a son Christopher Pope (Sherri) of Hickory, mother of his children Nora Weaver; another son Phillip Carnithan; two step sons Shea Gilbert of Granite Falls, Logan Miller(Hannah) stationed in Norfolk, VA; sisters Betty Nivens of Hickory, Lisa Stewart of Rhodhiss; two brothers Randy Pope (Rooney) of Hickory, Timothy Pope(Bridgett) of Yadkinville, sister in law Treva Pope of Taylorsville, Brother in law Michael Harrison (Ginny) of Taylorsville ; five grandchildren Jordan Pope, Logan Pope, Madalyn Gilbert, Parker Carnithan, Quentin Weaver and a number of Nieces and nephews survive him.

In addition to his mother, a brother Michael Pope, brother in Laws Johnny Henderson, Robert Stewart, grandson Tyler Pope and a nephew Carl Nivens preceded in death.

The funeral will be 3:00 pm Thursday, November 11th, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Brother in Law Michael Harrison officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm-3:00 pm Thursday, November 11th, 2021 at Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
