Phyllis Ann Sigmon Fisher, 64 of Travis Road, Conover died Saturday, October 8, 2011 at CMC- Charlotte. Born March 27, 1947 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of Thelma Estelle Pitts Sigmon of Hickory and the late Clyde Lewis Sigmon. Phyllis was a Medical Records Technician for nearly 36 years. In addition to her mother, Thelma Sigmon; her husband of 44 years, Harley Richard Fisher of the home; a daughter in law, Paula H. Fisher of Conover; Mother in law, Dot P. Fisher of Conover; Sister and brother in law, Mary and Fred Browning of Taylorsville; two sisters, Faye Whitener & Cindy Brown, both of Hickory; two brothers, Clyde L. Sigmon Jr. of Conover and James Eric Sigmon of Hickory; and a grand-son, Trey Overcash survive her. A son, Richard Marcus Fisher preceded her in death. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Startown First Baptist Church Building Fund, 2615 Sigmon Dairy Road, Newton, NC 28658. A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 pm, Wednesday, October 12, 2011 at Startown First Baptist Church in Newton. Pastors Dean Hart and William Church will officiate.
