Phyllis Fox

Phyllis Ann Pierce Fox, 79, of Newton passed away in her home Monday, May 8, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. Born January 29th, 1944 she was the daughter of the late Harvel and Zula Pierce.

Phyllis was a devout Christian and spent many years as a member of New Horizon Ministries. She loved gardening, canning, couponing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her resourcefulness and love of Jesus.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Richard Fox of Newton; her children Lisa Carpenter (and husband Wayne) of Claremont, Richard Fox, Jr. (and wife Cheryl) of Belmont, Lori Reardon (and husband Guerry) of Newton, and Susan Wilson (and husband Scott) of Newton; her grandchildren Courtney Durn, Carly Carter, Dylan Fox, Garrett Fox, Crystal Little, Kathleen Willis, Brad Sifford, Heather LeGrand, Cody Sifford, Rachael Sifford, and Jacob Sifford; many great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law Pat McCrary; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Jasperine, Jimmy, Barbara, Wayne, and Johnny.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2023, at Jenkins Funeral Home.

The memorial service will be 4:00 PM Friday, May 19, 2023, at Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Hudson officiating.
