Phyllis Ann Stepp, 57, of Newton journeyed home to her heavenly Father, Friday, January 16th, 2015 at Catawba Valley Medical Center due to a sudden illness. Born August 1st 1957, she was the daughter of Mary Beck of Thomasville, NC and the late Ray Ballew. Her husband of 38 years, Jeff H. Stepp, of the home; a daughter, Deborah Elmore and husband, Thad, of Taylorsville; her mother, Mary Jean Beck and husband, Bill, of Thomasville, NC, three sisters, Sheila Deboer and husband Tim of Surry County, Va., Carolyn Rice of Davidson County, NC, and Vivian Moch and husband, Jim, of Creedmoor, NC. Three grandsons, Lev Burgess of Taylorsville, NC, Cole Burgess of Gastonia, NC, and Gage Burgess of Taylorsville, NC survive her. In addition to her father, a sister, Barbara Payne, preceded her in death. All grieve her loss and will sorely miss her presence, but acknowledge that she now belongs to the Angels of Heaven.
