Quajuae Kennedy

Quajuae "Qak" Alexus Kennedy 21 of Newton died Saturday, April 8th, 2017 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born March 24th, 1996 she was the daughter of Alexis Kennedy and Hope Towery Kennedy. She was a 2014 graduate of Maiden High School where she was a cheerleader all four years and also since kindergarten. Currently employed by Sweet Frogs, she attended Caldwell Community College concentrating in Cosmetology and Catawba Valley Community College seeking a Criminal Justice degree.   Her mother, Hope Laraine Towery Kennedy and fiancé, Thomas Gardner of Newton; three brothers, Shaquan Kennedy of the home, Jullian Fabian of the home and Gabriel Gardner of the home; a sister, Olivia Gardner of home; maternal grandparents, Sharon and Mark Mauney of Claremont; paternal grandmother, Marjorie Mason of Jacksonville, FL; step grandparents, Wilma and Charles Hart of Charleston, SC; her aunt, Tonya Short of Newton and numerous cousins survive her. The funeral will be 7:00 pm Friday, April 14th, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center with Mark Mauney officiating.  The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Thursday, April 13th, 2017 at Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.     Please sign the online guestbook at www.jenkinsfuneralhome.net.
