Quintaline â??Quinâ? Lawson Prevatte, 75 of Herman Sipe Road, Conover died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Catawba Memorial Hospital. She was born January 1, 1935 and was the daughter of the late Homer & Bertie Britt Lawson. Quin lived at Abernethy Laurelâ??s Nursing Home for the last 10 years and she passed unexpectedly from complication of pneumonia. She was a member of New Life Church and enjoyed working with flowers. Quin was happily married to her husband, Talmadge O. Prevatte for 56 years. Her husband, Talmadge Oâ??Neal Prevatte of the home; three sons, Rick Prevatte & wife, Bonnie of Wilmington, Myron Prevatte and wife, Darlene of Burlington, Jeff Prevatte and wife Sherry of Granite Falls; a daughter, Sheila Prevatte Wilson and husband Mike of Newton; 7 grand-children, Blair, Seth, Preston, MacKenzi, Holden, Skylar & Victoria; and two sisters, Nathalie Britt of Broad Ridge, NC, Anne Raye Lee of Aynor, SC survive her. Four brothers; Edward Lawson, Milton â??Boâ? Lawson, John Lawson & Edison Lawson preceded her in death. The funeral service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, July 10, 2010 at New Life Church on County Home Road. Pastor Steve Clark will officiate. Receiving of friends will be 10-11:00 am prior to the service, at the church. Burial will follow the service at Catawba Memorial Park. Pallbearers include Mike Blount, Jim Sipe, Larry Sprouse, Mike Oldacker, Jewal Hanes, Jonathan Hefner and Carey Pittman. A Memorial service will be 3:00 pm Sunday, July, 11, 2010 at Broad River Baptist Church in Broad Ridge, NC. Memorials may be made to the â??Quin Prevatte Memorial Fundâ? 2231 West Front Street, Burlington, NC 27215.
