Rachel Macy

Rachel Jean Macy 60 of Newton died Friday, June 7th, 2013 at her residence. Born October 31, 1952, she was the daughter of Blaine Ray Moses and Ruby Hudson Moses of Hickory. She was retired from Catawba Valley Medical Center as an accountant. She had a Bachelor of Arts from Lenoir-Rhyne College and a Doctorate of Bible Knowledge from United Christian International Bible Institute. She was a member of Huntington Hills Church of God where she served as Senior Class Sunday School teacher. She was a loving wife and mother and she was a living testament of her Christian faith. She put God first. Her husband, Gaither Gray Macy; a son, Michael Lee Meyer of Kannapolis; a sister, Judy Moses Kanupp and husband Claude of Hickory; a brother, James Rayford Moses and wife Shirley of Hickory survive her. The funeral will be 6:00pm Monday, June 10, 2013 at Huntington Hills Church of God with Rev. Chris Music officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church.
