Randy Clark Tanner 56 of Hickory died Friday, December 18, 2020 at Carolina Caring. Born, August 9th, 1964 he was the son of Nolan Tanner and Inez Rick Ward.
Randy is survived by his step-dad, Michael Eugene Ward of Lincolnton, NC; three children, Jordan (Anna) Tanner of Elkin, NC; Casey (Matt) Dixon of Elkin, NC and Jonathan (Mandy) Tanner of Cheyenne, Wyoming. His siblings are Debi (Joe) Ward, Greg (Trish) Tanner, and Chrystal Stegal. Additionally, there are step-siblings, Steve (Cathy) Graham, Tony (Monica) Graham, and Jean (Mickey) Bumgardner. He has eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Inez Rick Ward and father and stepmother, Nolan & Peggy Tanner.
Randy graduated from Fred T. Foard High School 1982. He enjoyed his family and many friends. He loved to tinker and collect ‘old’ stuff. He was well loved. Randy will be missed along with his little crooked smile.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. The family gives thanks to Dr. Jim Parrish, Pastor, in Ft. Mill SC, Carolina Caring and his physicians at North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
