Ray Orvin Hayes, 76 of Vale died Saturday, June 17th, 2017 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born February 26th, 1941 he was the son of the late Thie Hayes and Iva Hayes Wilkie. Ray was a truck driver and worked many years for W&L Freight Lines. Sons, Tim Hayes and wife Leah of Newton, NC, Jeff Hayes of Newton, NC; Grand-children,m Michelle Hayes, Cooper Hayes; Sister, Eldie Allen of Grover and many nieces and nephews. survive him.
