Ray Von Lutz

Ray Von Lutz 85 of Hickory died Sunday, October 29th, 2017 at his daughter's residence. Born May 25th, 1932, he was the son of the late Able Lutz and Susan Whitener Lutz.  He was Navy veteran serving in the Korean War. He was a lifetime member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.  A son, Robert Lutz and wife, Sue of Hickory; a daughter, Selena Adan of Hickory; a grand-daughter, Susan Renee Lutz of Cornelius, NC; and his lifetime partner, Patricia Lutz of Hickory survive him. His brothers, Ralph Lutz, Sr., Marvin Lutz, Thomas Lutz and James Lutz; a sister, Vada Cannon preceded him in death. The Celebration of Life will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 1st, 2017 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor John David Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm Wednesday, November 1st, 2017 at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church.   Memorials may be made to Catawba Regional Hospice 3975 Robinson Road Newton, NC 28658.
