Raymond Elmore

Raymond Edward Elmore, 63, of Lincolnton passed away Friday, October 29, 2021 at Robin Johnson House. Born in Catawba County, NC April 6th, 1958 he was the son of Ruth Virginia Morgan and the late Robert Edward Elmore. Raymond fought a courageous battle against cancer for over 4 years; most people did not even know that he was sick. At the youthful age of 63 Raymond decided it was time to rest. He was preceded in death by his father Robert Edward Elmore.

Raymond had many interests and could do almost anything; if he did not know how to do it he knew someone that did. He is survived by his mother Ruth Morgan. He was her only son and everyone knows she loved him so much; but of course because everybody loved Raymond!

He is survived by his three wonderful children Tisha Mckinney, Chad Elmore, and Christopher Elmore all who will miss him but are grateful that his suffering has ended.

He is also survived by his four sisters who will miss him very much: sister Rosey Thomas and her two boys Lloyd Thomas (child Christopher) and Will Thomas (wife Joanna, children Katherine and Will Jr), sister Rebecca Smith and her two girls Gwendolyn Fox (husband Mark, children Alexandria, Tobias, Nolan) and Samantha Rose (children Drake and Alexander), sister Robin Thurman and husband Francis, and their two children Aerial ONeill (husband Jon) and Christian Thurman (wife Amanda), and sister Rena Sigmon and her child Haydin.

His significant other Ellie Timms hopes that you will join her in celebrating his life 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Francis Thurman officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm Wednesday, November 3rd, 2021 in the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
