Raymond (Eugene) Lucas, 39, of Claremont died Tuesday, January 30th, 2018 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born June 16th, 1978 he was the son of Paul Lucas and the late Marilyn (Kaybo) Eades Snowden. Raymond loved to be outdoors. He loved fishing, camping, bowling and being with his friends.
His father, Paul Eugene Lucas of Claremont; a brother Michael Shane Lucas and children Christian and Steven of Virginia; two step sisters Allison Collins of Maiden; and Sarah Boyd and husband George of Virginia survive him.
Also Surviving him are his aunts, Helen Shook, Evelyn Eaton, Shelia Mast; uncles, Danny Lucas, Johnny Eades; and a number of loving cousins and best friends.
Raymond is leaving behind his best friend and dog Harley.
In addition to his mother Marilyn (Kaybo) Eades Snowden; his step mother Karen Moretz Lucas preceded him in death.
The funeral will be 4:00pm Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm-3:45 pm Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
