Rita Gail Couch, 68, of Newton passed away Monday, June 5th, 2023, in her home. Born, September 2nd, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Jason "Bubbie" Flowers and Clara Jean Flowers.
She is survived by her husband Charles Poovey of Newton; four children, Jeff Dills of Catawba, Michelle Dills (Jason) of Claremont, Charles Poovey Jr. (Jennifer) of Shreveport, LA, and Brian Couch (Brianna) of Newton; three siblings, Linda Heafner, Donna Edmondson, and Scott Flowers; eight grandchildren, Tara, Katelyn, Morgan, Isaac, Sean, Caleb, Cody, and Walker; and three great-grandchildren, Blakely, Josie, Daxson, with one on the way.
A memorial service will be held 5PM, Friday June 9th, 2023, at Mathis Chapel Baptist Church, located at 1786 Mathis Church Rd, Catawba, NC 28609.
Jenkins Funeral Home staff are not involved in the memorial service at the church.
