Robert Burgess

Robert Allen Burgess, 63, of Newton passed away Friday, September 29th, 2023 at Carolina Caring. Born, February 3rd, 1960, he was the son of Robert Leroy Burgess and Johnnie Laura Taylor.

He is survived by his sons, Robert Burgess (Rita) of Shelby, and Alan Burgess (Savannah) of Hickory; a mother, Johnnie Taylor of Kings Mountain; sisters, Debra Dixon (Harold) of South Carolina, Teresa Riley of South Carolina, and Tracy Harris (Harold) of South Carolina; grandchildren, Emma Grace of Shelby, Summer Whitner of Shelby, and Amber Skates of Shelby; great-grandchildren, Remi and Bentley; and many loved nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Leroy Burgess.

The family will receive friends from 3PM-4PM Friday, October 6th, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center with the service following at 4PM in Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel.
