Robert Cockerline

Robert Allen Cockerline, 82 of Lincolnton, died Friday February 10, 2012 at Carolinas Medical Center, Pineville. He was the son of the late Earl Fletcher and Mary Elizabeth Jones Cockerline. He served in the US Army during WWII. Three daughters; Donna Lynn Long of Florida, Susan Jean Leggett of Lincolnton and Pamella Avice Fuller and husband David of Lincolnton; three sons, Allen Reed Cockerline, Robert Brian Cockerline and wife Therese of Las Vegas, NV and Gordon Scott Cockerline of Lincolnton; a sister, Sarah Bettes Mayall of Dracut, MA; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren survive him. His wife of 55 years, Avice Sarah Cockerline; four sisters, Ruth, Betty, Rainie and Dotty; and three brothers, Monty, Richie and Billy preceded him in death. The family has chosen a private ceremony.
