Robert Lockman, “Mr. Bob”, passed away on Tuesday, January 25, 2022. He graduated from Lincolnton High School and attended Appalachian State University. He was a member of Boger City United Methodist Church. He was a salesman most of his life and later years worked for Lincoln County School system. The students called him “Mr. Bob”, and thought he was an awesome bus driver for ELMS. He was born October 21, 1939 to late S. A. Lockman and Ruth Cecelia Lockman.
He is survived by his wife Donna McCurry Lockman, his five brothers Barry Lockman, Johnny Lockman, Philip Lockman, Mike Lockman and Joey Lockman.
His love for his wife and children was unsurpassed. He left behind three daughters; Cindy Adams, Ruth Lockman, Sherrie Sullivan (David) and one son; Robert Shane Lockman (Shelly). Grandchildren; Alexis Bradley (Jake), Harley Dyer (Jordan), J R Miller (Natalie), Stephanie Duncan (Josh), Foster Williamson and Caroline Williamson. His Great Grandchildren kept him living and loving; Parker Lucille Bradley, Marcus Miller, Grayson Duncan and Loraine Duncan.

A Celebration and Remembrance of Life for Robert Lockman, “Mr. Bob”, will be held Friday January 28, 2022 at 2:00 PM. The Lockman Family has entrusted arrangements to Jenkins Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 4081 Startown Road, Newton, NC, 1-828-464-1555. The family will receive visitors prior to the service from 1 – 2 PM.
