Robert Ogburn

Robert Mac "Bob" Ogburn 77 of Lincolnton died Monday June 9th, 2014 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born December 3rd, 1936 he was the son of the late Col. USAF (retired)Henley Ogburn and Estelle Ogburn. He worked as a pathologist assistant at Frye Regional Medical Center for 15 years. Bob thoroughly enjoyed life on their farm with all the animals. He loved nature and raising horses and cows. He loved to hunt and fish and enjoyed the great outdoors. His wife of 45 years, Martha J. Ogburn of the home; a daughter, Susan Ogburn Strickland and husband Charles of Mooresville;his mother-in-law, Jenevieve Ogburn of Niceville,Forida; three half brothers, Dick Tucker and wife Donna of SC, Gary Tucker and wife Kathy of Lexington, KY and Bobby Tucker of Jenkins, KY.; a half sister of Jenkins, KY and three grandchildren, Avery Strickland, Warren Strickland and Nolin Strickland and three great grandchildren survive him. A sister, Michelle preceded him in death. A Celebration of Bob's life will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to The Lincoln County Humane Society.
