Robert Tolbert

Robert Edward “Robbie” Tolbert, 54 of Newton died Sunday, January 7, 2024 in Gaston County. Robbie was born on Thursday, December 25, 1969. He was the son of Gerald R. Tolbert and Brenda Cruse Tolbert of Newton. He is survived by his daughter, Candace Tolbert Glosson (Will) of Newton, his grandson, Grayson Wallace of Newton, his brother Gerald Gannon Tolbert (Kim) of Vale, his sister Brandi Tolbert (Philip Toelkes) of Newton, nieces Maranda Rosenbalm (Kevin) of Hickory, and Madison Gladden (Triston) of Hickory, Rachel Toelkes of Charlotte, and several great nieces and a great nephew and multiple cousins.

He was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Robert and Colleen Cruse, and Leonard Tolbert.

There will be a Celebration of Life at Meadow Ridge Baptist Church at 1173 Zeb Haynes Road Rd in Maiden on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 3pm. Pastor Arlie Roten will be officiating.

The family will receive friends starting at 2:00 on Saturday, January 13 until 2:45 immediately prior to the celebration of life ceremony.

Charitable donations, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Meadow Ridge Baptist Church.
