Roger Dale Walters, 69, of Newton passed away Monday, September 20, 2021 at Brian Center Viewmont. Born April 1st, 1952 he was the son of the late Harvey Edward Walters and Gladys Pearl Walters.
He is survived by a daughter Marica Hicks of Lincolnton; a son Richard Walters of Newton; two sisters Diane Wood (James) of Newton and Emily Walters of Newton; five grandchildren Elizabeth Morgan and husband Fabian Morgan, Randall Canipe, Ivy Leigh Walters, Jeffery Hicks, and Matthew Hicks; three great grandchildren Lainey Morgan, Evalette Morgan, and Forrest Morgan; and two nephews Ladd Smith and Jonathan Smith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Christopher Deal sister Brenda Sue Walters.
